Bar Budda,
Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow. Just recently visited this bar after hearing good
things, have to say it lived up to the hype! Loved the layout with great booth
space where there was plenty of space for a group of us. We used the bar as a
pre-drink night before Jellybaby on Thursday (as Bar Budda give out free passes
to Jbaby, hint hint!), we could easily have stayed there and made a whole night
of it. While not being overly busy this night, we sat in our booth with a
mixture of shots, Jaeger bombs and some bar budda cocktails and had a genuinely
great time. The music was on point, with hit after hit and generally created a
great vibe for the place.
I loved the privacy
you get form the booths with the walls, it makes a night out with your friends
really special. The staff were chatty and upbeat even when 2 of the guys got a
load of cocktails in! The music was loud but not overpowering so we could chat,
which was a great bonus. The lighting was dim and gave the bar a great look
with candle lights and great big Buddha statues shining away.
From word of mouth,
they do great deals for hen and stag parties and other such groups. The food we
hear is great value and pretty damn tasty too. So, thumbs up for Bar Budda in
Glasgow!
